Facial aesthetics treatments are those considered to combat the natural ageing process. Lifestyle and the environment contribute to unwanted facial lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tones.
Facial aesthetics is the term we use to describe the range of non-surgical treatments our practice offers to temporarily soften expression lines and wrinkles using Botulinum Toxin A injections; (Botox, Azzalure, BOCOUTURE, and Dermal Fillers), to increase the volume and improve the appearance of the skin. These fillers can be used to temporally improve the definition of certain facial features including lips, cheek and chin to contour, define and volumise using; Juvéderm ® Vycross, TEOSYAL️®, Restylane and Belotero®.
Dermal Filler, often referred to as ‘liquid facelifts’ because they offer the benefits of a surgical facelift without the downtime. They volumise areas and non surgically enhance the shape of the face or lift the face. Fillers restore youthful fullness to your face, plump lips and enhance shallow contours or soften those facial creases and wrinkles. Fillers provide immediate results.
Treatments are non-permanent and do require repeating and maintaining in order to maintain that fresh full new look.
Common areas for treatment with dermal fillers include lips, cheeks; tear troughs, nasolabial folds and static wrinkles.
Dermal fillers have long been used in medical practice in various specialities, including orthopaedics, gynaecology, cosmetic surgery and aesthetics.
Anti-wrinkle injections (Botulinum Toxin A) commonly referred to as “Botox” are used to reduce overactive muscle movement which can cause deep frown lines and worry lines across the forehead, between the eyebrows and around the eyes in both men and women. This treatment will not dramatically change your facial appearance, but reducing wrinkles will result in a smoother, rejuvenated appearance. Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used to help reduce excess sweating, medically known as Hyperhidrosis and recently has been proven to help migraine.
This treatment is now available in all of our clinics. Treatments undertaken by Dr Sally-Ann Dolan & Dr Ian Jones.
Facial enhancement and revitalisation have moved beyond surgical facelifts to an approach, which subtly reshapes and redefines. This technique allows our doctors to develop an aesthetic treatment plan tailored to individual Patient needs and designed to give a natural look.
The 8-point face lift is a relatively new approach utilising the new Vycross collection of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers from Juvederm for facial revitalisation and shaping.
The procedure is delivered in 8 distinct treatment areas to achieve the most natural result and maintain each patient’s unique facial expressions. The sequence of specific injection sites can be adapted dependent on each patient’s profile, to achieve the optimal outcome.
As we get older, one of the most noticeable facial changes is the loss of volume in the cheek area as the malar fat pads move down under the force of gravity. This is most obvious in patients that are slender or have a normal age-appropriate weight. The cheekbones become less pronounced and the skin becomes saggier. In some patients, this can create a ‘gaunt’ or aged look.
Injectable fillers offer a quick and effective method of a subtle cheek enhancement. This additional volume into the cheeks makes the face appear more youthful and ‘uplifted’. The effect is not designed to be dramatic, nor should it be, but a subtle improvement that looks natural. This is a quick solution with immediate effects without the swelling and potential down time and bruising from surgery.
While the effect of injectable cheek augmentation is only temporary, how long it lasts will be influenced by what type of injectable filler is used. We use advanced dermal filler as we find it allows the smoothest and most natural look and lasts from 9-12 months.
Injectable cheek augmentation can be enhanced by the simultaneous use of specialist injections in the crow’s feet and cheek areas. This combination of treatments helps enhance the middle part of the face that so that it looks natural and relaxed, and it only takes 30 minutes.
Dermal fillers can help women of all ages with either naturally thin lips or thinning lips as they mature. As time goes by, lips naturally lose their volume, appearing thinner and less defined. Your lips are one of the most important features of your face and say so much about you.
The lip edges can be treated to restore youthful contours and redefine the borders of the lips; this also helps prevent your lipstick from seeping out into the skin and leaves you with a crisp, well-defined shape.
These fillers are non-permanent, homogenous and feel soft and natural. We pride ourselves in giving you the lips you want; ensuring results are subtle so that only you know. We now use predominately Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers. HA is a naturally occurring substance found in our body predominately in the dermis of our skin and when injected blends seamlessly with the tissue under the skin resulting in a natural looking result. HA fillers have different molecular weights that need to be injected into different tissue planes. In general the more dense the filler the deeper it needs to be injected.
More dramatic results can be achieved if so desired. You will take an active role during the treatment and will have ample opportunity to assess the appearance of your lips as the treatment is being performed.
They are sometimes referred to as smile lines, because they look deeper when you are smiling, but smiling is not the real cause of the problem. Dermatologists and Medical Aesthetic Practitioners refer to them as “nasolabial folds”, which simply means folds that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth or lips.
These deep lines can be a dead give away of your age but now can be eradicated in an instant. The procedure uses dermal fillers to fill in the crease and plump the skin to give it a youthful glow. This is an affordable treatment that doesn’t take long to administer and the effects are immediately visible.
Tear troughs are the hollow area that run from the nose and under the eyes. This area becomes more obvious as we age, giving the appearance of lower eye bags and dark circles.
Effective treatment for this problem is delivered by injection of a specific dermal filler to create a soft and natural correction. This procedure rejuvenates the tired, aging face like no other.
