MORPHEUS8 – The Favourite Celebrity Treatment Everyone Is Talking About!

We are so excited to introduce Morpheus 8 to our Heswall clinic on the Wirral. Many of you who read this article will have heard of Morpheus8 as it has been talked about publicly by several celebrities, the most recent being Judy Murray who is proud to show off the results of her recent treatment. Other celebrities include Paula Abdul, Kim Kardashian, and January Jones.
Why is it so exciting you may ask and why has it been quoted to be the next big aesthetic trend. There are several reasons why and I will try and explain how it works and why it does it produce the results promised.
What is MORPHESU8?
It is actually two treatments in one , it is radiofrequency and micro needling combined – hence called RF microneedling. Microneedling uses exceptionally fine sterile needles to puncture the skin multiple times in a controlled manner which promotes collagen production to fix these wounds, prompting better skin quality.
Radio frequency adds in energy, and this heals the dermis layer at specific temperatures and depths which stimulates collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid – all essential building blocks needed for healthy skin.
In essence, this treatment stimulates your own natural collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid and so achieves a very natural rejuvenation. Some regard this as a more natural treatment than others available.
So, what areas can be treated with MORPHEUS8?
The most popular area is the lower face, neck and décolletage, (areas notoriously difficult to treat), but actually any areas affected by lines and wrinkles can be successfully treated- upper arms, inner thighs, tummy, knees, around the eyes. Not only does it improve lines and wrinkles, it can also address enlarged pores, acne scarring, sagging skin, stretchmarks and even dehydrated skin.
How many treatments are needed?
Typically, three treatments are required with four weeks between each session. Each treatment takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on the area or areas being treated. However numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure and is left on for 45 minutes- why waste 45 minutes in our clinics when you can take advantage of many of the other beauty treatments we offer, e.g., have a manicure, pedicure, or shellac whilst the numbing cream is taking effect.
How long to see results?
It is so important to understand the results are not instant. It is typically 2 to 3 months before you start to see the results of your investment and thereafter you will continue to see the effect of treatment enhance for a further three months after your final session. We will take photographs before you embark on the course of treatment and monitor your progress by repeating photos in the months post treatment.
Is it safe?
Morpheus8 is a very safe treatment in the hands of experienced therapists and there is very little downtime (temporary redness and a mild warm sensation is typical) I can vouch for this as I had treatment during an in-clinic demonstration. I had the treatment during my lunch break and an hour later returned to seeing patients with no obvious signs of having had any treatment.
All skin types and skin colours can be treated which is a huge advantage over some other devices offering rejuvenation.
