4d Laser Facelift Wirral

The Fotona Laser Facelift treatment strengthens collagen and immediately lifts by collagen contraction. New Collagen production is also stimulated, resulting in tightness and increased elasticity of your skin. The synergistic laser treatments treat both the exterior of the face as well as the interior oral cavity to produce results from both inside and out. The procedure provides both immediate and ongoing results.

The laser treatment lifts, tightens, plumps, improves skin texture, and provides wrinkle reduction on the skin with the use of 4 unique laser modes: SMOOTH®, FRAC3®, PIANO® and SupErficial™.

SmoothLiftin™ A revolutionary non-ablative Er:YAG intraoral treatment for controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction. In addition to an immediate effect resulting in the shrinkage of collagen fibres, the initiation of new collagen generation occurs. The effects result in an overall improvement of tightness and elasticity in the treated tissue as well as a plumping effect to the nasolabial folds from the inside, much like a filler.

FRAC3® A self-induced, fractional effect of the Nd:YAG laser and a specific pulse structure that generates tiny regional spikes of high temperature. This non ablative modality enables the treatment of specific, deeper imperfections to complement the effect of the intraoral treatment, as well as restore youthful texture.

PIANO® A unique, ultra-long Nd:YAG pulse mode for the third stage of Fotona4D®. The laser causes bulk tissue heating safely and rapidly, from the outside in, by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously. The PIANO® pulse is in the super extended seconds regime mode, with a brushing technique for completing the full-thickness bulk heating with an overall synergistic tightening effect.

SupErficial™ A light cold Er:YAG ablation that gives a pearl finish to the skin. SupErficialTM additionally improves the appearance of the skin and reduces imperfections by using propriety VSP technology, enabling the operator to easily adjust the laser to an extremely controlled light peel, without thermal effects, for a no-down time, precise treatment.

Fotona Laser facelift is also known as 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D & 6D. This is dependant on how many areas are treated; face and neck, neck only etc. We use all of the modes 2D through to 6D in one session which covers the face and neck but if you are looking for a specific area to be treated we can customise your treatment plan!

Fungal Toenail Treatment Wirral

Fungal infection of the toenails is called onychomycosis. It is extremely common and affects up to 10% of people in the UK. In fact almost half of all nail problems are related to fungus. It is more common in toenails but can also infect fingernails.

Fungal infections of the nails are unsightly and embarrassing. The nail becomes thickened slowly becoming yellow, brown, orange or white. The nail becomes crumbly, smelly and difficult to cut. As the fungal infection becomes thicker the nails are painful in shoes and may bleed causing black areas inside the nail.

Nails with fungal infection can become brittle and crack, and may lift away from the end of the toe. This allows debris to collects underneath the nail causing an unpleasant smell and allowing the fungus to continually re-infect the skin and other nails.

How does the laser treatment work?

With over 50 years of experience in laser technology, Fotona’s lasers systems is leading the industry with new levels of innovation and performance. Fotona is recognized as a world leader in aesthetic applications and technologies, working closely with top universities and medical research centers around the globe.

The Fotona medical laser produces a deep light pulse that heats both the nail and nail bed causing the death of parasitic fungus within the nail. The effects of the laser light spreads evenly throughout the tissue, eliminating the fungal infection. The natural growth and immune processes of the body are then able to restore the nail to its pristine state.

What happens during the treatment?

The Fungal nail Fotona Medical laser treatment is performed in three simple steps:

3stepClearSteps
Step 1: Filing down the nail allows laser light to fully penetrate into the treatment site.

Step 2: The laser is administered in pulses in a circular pattern covering the entire nail. The beam is applied point by point so that the nail is fully covered. The patient feels a heating sensation throughout the nail.

Step 3: The laser pulses around the perimeter of the nail bed and around the toe. Often parasitic fungus has worked its way beyond the nail bed and needs to be eliminated in all the tissue surrounding the nail to prevent recurrence.

The treatment is usually performed four times at one week intervals, although we can increase the course amount to suit your needs. All of the nails should be treated, during every treatment, as early fungal infection can be invisible to the eye.

The Fotona medical laser penetrates the nail efficiently, safely and evenly, heating the nail bed to an appropriate temperature that results in the elimination of the invading fungi and the restoration of the nail.

In just 12 months most patients are completely cleared from Onychomycosis with just the use of the Fotona laser. Severe infection will require additional courses of treatment. It is always best to treat the infection as early as possible, particularly before it spreads to other nails and the nail root.

Laser Hair Removal Wirral.

Fotona’s high-performance Nd:YAG laser systems have introduced new standards of efficiency in providing safe and effective hair reduction.

Safe for All Skin Types

Fotona’s Nd:YAG lasers incorporate revolutionary pulse-control technology and a proprietary three-dimensional treatment pattern (FRAC3®) to provide safe and effective hair reduction. Unlike other wavelengths, only Nd:YAG is safe to use on all skin types. Fotona’s innovative system effectively targets surface treatment areas while leaving surrounding tissues unaffected.

The success of permanent hair reduction treatments depends largely on a patient’s skin and hair type. Most patients can expect a significant reduction in unwanted hair, and any future hair growth will usually be thinner and lighter, and thus much less pronounced than before.

FAQ’s

Why is laser the treatment of choice for hair removal?

Lasers remove hair for good, giving you a long-lasting, even permanent result.  In only a few treatments.

Traditional hair removal methods, such as waxing, shaving, depilatory creams, plucking/tweezing, sugaring, and stringing provide only temporary results — some for fewer than 24 hours.  Within hours or possibly days, you are back at it again, hunched over a magnifying mirror to tweeze out facial hair, running a razor over tender skin, or enduring painful waxing.  To make it worse, these methods can often stimulate hair growth!

Laser has another advantage, in that you never again have to let the hair grow out a few days before your treatments in order to get it to work, as you do with the other methods.

How does laser remove hair?

Hair removal lasers emit a light at a specific wavelength that is known to be absorbed by the pigment (colour) in the hair follicle — without damaging the surrounding skin. The light is converted to heat energy, which in turns disables the hair follicle so that it will not produce another hair.

What makes a FOTONA laser hair removal treatment safe and comfortable?

Fotona’s high-performance Nd:YAG laser systems with FRAC3® technology have introduced new standards of efficiency in providing safe and effective hair reduction – using an innovative system that effectively targets hair follicles with a combination of selective and homogenous photothermolysis.

What areas of the body can be treated with laser hair removal?

Most areas of the body and face can be safely treated.

Are some people better candidates for laser hair removal than others?

Laser hair removal works best on individuals with light skin and coarse, dark hair (brown and black) hair.  We have had superb results with individuals with all ranges of skin colour and hair colour.

How long does a laser hair removal treatment take?

A number of factors determine the length of time for a treatment.  At SDS Rejuvenate, we plan for adequate time to go as slowly or as fast as is comfortable and appropriate for each client.

Why does it take a number of laser hair removal treatments to clear an area of excess , unwanted hair?

Hair grows in repeating cycles, and only in the actively growing phase does the hair contain enough pigment to absorb sufficient energy to disable the hair follicle.  When hair is in the dormant phase, it has little or no pigment, and it cannot absorb the laser light.  When you come to us for your treatment, we disable all of the hair follicles with actively growing hair in the treatment area.  A few weeks later, some of your dormant hairs will have moved into the actively growing stage, and you will come in for a treatment to disable those.  As this cycle gets repeated, you experience increasing reduction of hair.

How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?

Most laser companies tell us to tell you that it will take six to eight treatments to achieve clearance of an area.  We have some clients who are happy after four treatments, and a few who have needed more than eight.

What is the cost of laser hair removal?

The cost of laser hair removal varies depending on the size, complexity and other factors of the area treated.

What causes hair growth?

Heredity and ethnic background constitute the primary causes of hair growth.  Superfluous or excessive hair growth in women often results from normal biological changes that they undergo throughout life, such as puberty, pregnancy, menopause and old age.  Any one of these changes may cause an increase in hair growth in areas that never had hair before, or cause a small to moderate problem area to worsen.  Other causes of hair growth can be associated with certain medications, stress and obesity.

More serious causes can be an abnormality in the endocrine system, such as irregular menstrual cycles;  ovarian disorders, such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS); and thyroid abnormalities.

Why do temporary hair removal methods such as waxing and tweezing stimulate hair growth?

Waxing, tweezing and depilatory creams are among the top offenders for stimulating hair growth.  When a hair root is pulled at or tugged on to remove it, a blood supply rushes to the area nourishing the hair follicle.  When this process is done regularly the result is growth of very coarse, deep rooted hairs.  Most clients are surprised to learn that years of waxing and/or tweezing have played a role in making the hair growth worse.

Is laser hair removal uncomfortable, or even painful?

You may experience a very small but manageable sensation that we describe as a “pinch” or a “zap” when we pulse the laser.  Most of our former waxing, stringing and electrolysis clients report that the discomfort is far less than those methods of hair removal.  Stress, fatigue, caffeine, your menstrual cycle and pain tolerance may also influence the level of comfort —  or discomfort —  that you feel.

LipLase™ Wirral

LipLase by Fotona is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to enhance the appearance of the lips by providing natural-looking lip volume, improving lip texture, and stimulating collagen production without the need for injectable fillers. It uses Fotona’s advanced laser technology to treat the delicate skin around the lips, providing a more youthful, plump, and defined look with minimal downtime.

Ideal Candidates for LipLase:

  • Individuals looking for lip enhancement without fillers: Those who want to enhance lip volume and definition without the use of injectable fillers may find LipLase to be an ideal option.
  • Patients with fine lines around the lips: LipLase is excellent for improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, giving a more youthful and refreshed look.
  • People who prefer a natural, subtle result: LipLase offers a gradual enhancement that doesn’t create an overdone look, ideal for those looking for a natural lip rejuvenation.

How LipLase by Fotona Works:

  • Laser Energy: LipLase utilizes Fotona’s Nd:YAG and Er:YAG laser wavelengths to gently heat the skin and stimulate collagen production in the lip area. The energy is delivered precisely to the tissues, targeting both the surface and deeper layers of the skin, which helps to firm and tighten the skin and enhance volume.
  • Collagen Stimulation: The heat from the laser triggers the natural healing response in the skin, leading to the production of fresh collagen and elastin. This results in a plumper, smoother, and more youthful appearance of the lips over time.
  • Skin Tightening: In addition to increasing lip volume, the laser also helps to tighten the skin around the lips, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This leads to a more defined lip contour and a smoother lip line.
  • Non-Invasive and Comfortable: Unlike traditional injectable lip fillers, LipLase is non-invasive and involves no needles or surgery. The treatment is relatively comfortable, with many patients describing a mild warming sensation during the procedure.

LipLase by Fotona is a revolutionary, non-invasive treatment for lip enhancement that offers a safe, effective alternative to traditional injectable lip fillers. By stimulating natural collagen production, it provides subtle, long-lasting results that improve lip volume, texture, and definition. It’s ideal for those looking for a gentle, gradual enhancement of the lips with minimal downtime and no needles involved. For the best results, it’s always recommended to consult with a qualified practitioner who has experience with the Fotona system.

Laser Dermabrasion Wirral

When you reach 25, your collagen stimulation starts to decline and eventually becomes dormant. Why does this matter? Because collagen is an important protein that makes up most of the skin’s supportive structure. As we age, we lose the ability to produce it which results in wrinkles. However, thanks to Fotona’s laser treatment we can wake this up, brighten and retexture the skin and stimulate collagen production.

This non-invasive procedure requires no downtime and instantly reduces pore size, improves texture and immediately conditions the tome of your skin. It’s great for all skin types, complements any injectable or advanced procedure and is suitable for the face, chest, side of neck and hands. The most common areas to be treated are the face and neck.

FAQ’s

How does it work?

Collagen production is stimulated by the laser which causes a localised thermal injury that in turn initiates a wound healing response. In time, this process helps the production of new collagen, tightened pore size, improved texture and overall appearance.

Does it hurt?

Most people find the treatment comfortable. We can use cool air throughout treatment to help minimise any discomfort that you may feel. You may have some slight redness immediately after treatment which does not last long. We can apply Youngblood mineral makeup post treatment if you need to return to work or have errands to run.

Laser Snoring Treatment Wirral

Although snoring affects millions of people, many have decided not to treat their snoring problems because of low success rates and the high invasiveness of surgical treatment.

Fotona NightLase®, a non-invasive laser treatment for increasing the quality of a patient’s sleep. NightLase decreases the amplitude of snoring by means of a gentle, laser-induced tightening effect caused by the contraction of collagen in the oral mucosa tissue.

Fotona’s patented Er:YAG laser modality optimizes the length of laser pulses, allowing for the safe penetration of heat into the oral mucosa tissue. It is gentle enough to be used on the sensitive tissue inside the mouth, but strong enough to provide clinically efficacious heating.

NightLase is easy for any doctor to perform and has a high success rate in producing a positive change in sleep patterns. Research has shown that NightLase is an effective treatment that reduces snoring in a non-invasive and comfortable way.

The average full course of NightLase consists of three separate treatment sessions over a period of only six weeks. The final results of the treatment have been shown to last up to a year, and the therapy can be repeated.

Patients find NightLase to be a highly comfortable and satisfying solution. NightLase requires no device to be worn during sleep and involves no chemical treatment. It’s a gentle and easy way for patients to regain a good night’s rest.

Thread Vein Treatment Wirral

The Fotona Nd:Yag laser offers the perfect solution for treating thread veins on the face or legs. Thread veins are a very common problem and are formed as a vein becomes dilated, thus becoming larger and visible through the skin.

The treatment course can either totally remove the visible veins or markedly reduce the appearance of the unwanted red or blue veins.

Treatment involves a course; leg veins require between 2 or 3 treatment sessions and facial veins usually between 1 or 2 treatment sessions, scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart.

FAQ’s

How does the treatment work?

Treatment is performed by the Fotona laser and the energy emitted (1064nm) targets the haemoglobin (blood) found within the vein. This heat energy cause coagulation of the vein (clot) and heats up the wall of the vein causing them to collapse. The body no longer recognises the vein as being part of itself and it is reabsorbed by the white blood cells.

How many treatments do I need?

For leg veins we advise between 2 and 3 treatments (very occasionally 4), each treatment scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart. For facial veins often only 1 treatment is required, but depending on the extent maybe a further 1 to 2 treatments again scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart.

Does the treatment hurt?

The treatment is not painful, the sensation can be likened to “the snap of an elastic band”.

How long does the treatment take?

This depends on the extent of the area, or number of areas being treated, but usually one area takes approximately 15 minutes.

Are there any side effects?

You may notice the area being treated looks more obvious  as the vein becomes dark, this is to be expected, and you may develop a scab. This will fall off within a 1 to 2 week period.

Are there any contraindications to treatments?

Treatment of light should not be used if you are prone to keloid scarring, past medical history of  wound healing, one taking medication that causes photosensitivity or anti-seizure medication, have epilepsy (triggered by flashing lights) or an active tan (including false tan). We offer a free consultation to discuss your requirements and we will ask you to complete a medical questionnaire before your consultation.

Wart and Verrucae removal Wirral

Incredibly common, both warts and verrucae are an unsightly and embarrassing problem, but they can be easily treated by undergoing Fotona laser by our expert practitioners.

There is no need to seek out a separate wart or verruca removal clinic as this is a popular treatment offered here at SDS Rejuvenate MediSpa alongside our other aesthetic options.

Warts are small lumps, or growths caused by a virus infection most commonly the Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV as it is often known. A Verruca is simply a wart that grows on the sole of your foot.

Typically appearing on the hands, feet, or toes, they have either a cauliflower appearance or may be seen as a solid blister. They can develop in one place or multiple locations. It may appear as a solitary growth, or as a cluster formation known as a ‘mosaic’ and will consist of hundreds of individual verrucae. Size ranges from 1mm in diameter upwards.

Warts are contagious and can be transferred by touch so care must be taken to minimise this where possible. We see many clients suffering from this condition and recommend prompt laser treatment to prevent the spread to other family members.

Effective removal of the wart can be from between 1 and 3 sessions of treatment. There is no need to remove any extra tissue apart from the lesion itself and no anaesthesia required.

There is no special post-procedure skin care necessary to support effective removal of the wart or verruca, making this a simple, effective treatment
